"The Land of Smiles"

From the turquoise watered vast with islands to the futuristic skyscrapers of Bangkok, Thailand never ceased to amaze me with its diverse landscapes, vibrant culture, and rich history.

While exploring the islands near Phuket, I visited Koh Panyee, a unique floating fishing village in Phang Nga Bay known for its strong Muslim community. Once just a few fishermen that settled there from Indonesia, now home to 1,600 people. The village was peaceful, with most of the activity centered near the docks where tour boats arrive and local women sell goods to visitors.

In Bangkok, a bustling city filled with towering buildings, constant traffic, and endless energy, the contrast of its floating markets offers a refreshing glimpse into a different side of the capital. These markets show that innovation can flourish even without the high-tech infrastructure of downtown, revealing yet another layer of the city’s character.
